STAR WARS: EPISODE VII Cast Officially Announced

Here’s who we’ll see in the next Star Wars film:

“Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.”

The fact that the original trilogy’s stars are returning isn’t the biggest surprise– Andy Serkis caught me out of nowhere. I hope he plays the villain, and I hope he gets a break from donning a motion capture suit. The choice of actors seems solid, but I’ll admit I’m disappointed that only one other female was added to the main cast. Come on, Star Wars. Catch up with the times.

Early STAR WARS Storyboard

The boards show the work of artist Alex Tavoularis, Joe Johnston, and Ivan Beddoes. The images look familiar but look like some kind of foreign knockoff. Depending on the production storyboards can be really basic and these have more detail than your average one. The key production art by illustrator Ralph McQuarrie is the closest to the final productions look, but it’s interesting to see how much of the look was established in these early boards.

STAR WARS: EPISODE VII – Story Details and More Casting Rumors

It was recently reported that Breaking Bad co-star Jesse Plemons was the top choice to take on a lead role in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII. There a bunch of new casting rumors and possible story details that have been revealed that you all are sure to be interested in hearing! Want to know what they are? Of course you do, so let’s start off with the casting rumors…

Arndt is said to have focused on the offspring of Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill, Han Solo Harrison Ford and Princess Leia Carrie Fisher, with the original trilogy heroes taking on supporting roles. Abrams, however, wanted Episode VII to focus on the classic trio of characters, so audiences could have one more chance to enjoy them before a fitting send-off. The new characters, the offspring, will now be in supporting roles, according to these sources, and take center stage in Episode VIII and IX. Some characters have disappeared from the Arndt script and new ones are being drafted.
